Anyway, just a quick update.
Still need to figure out a Thank You gift for Kel, but I got my Beasts of 9 submission done. Apparently, you can submit more than one, so I might post another one. I ended up doodling a lot last night, and I created this cute little needle-footed tripod monster that looks suspiciously like that weird doctor bot from the second Transformers movie, but made out of scrap parts and without the pseudo glasses. I really do like drawing for this contest, it's been stimulating my creative sense quite nicely.
Okay, back to business.
I am going to be absent, at least for today, maybe for tomorrow as well, from DeviantArt. From the internet in general, to be truthful.
I've been on the computer so much lately, my brain has nearly turned into mush. I'm afraid I'm going to wake up one day and find a puddle of gray goop oozing out of my ear.
So, I'm taking a brake, leaving Cory, my beloved taptop, here at home, where she can download "Hulk Vs. Wolverine" without any interruptions or shorts on the internet access. If I'm lucky, the film will be done by the time I get home and I can laugh at Deadpool in high quality.
Maybe even make one of those silly tribute/compilation vids on Movie Maker.
Damnit, I STILL haven't figured out which CS4 program is for film creation!

Well, I've said my piece.
TO THE SHOWER!!!

This goes out to my soph buddy Kel, aka NintendoPhreak989 .
This guy, WOW.
Okay, let's start back at the end of high school.
I've been gettind grad money and gifts for a while, and it's cool and all, but nothing all that special.
Then Kel pops in.
Totally blows my freaking mind. He knows I'm a TransFan, and I don't have a lot to show for it, though I can practically quote the 2007 movie word for word (at least the robot parts).
He pops in with a TFA Bumblebee transforming action figure and a jar of Nutella in a box wrapped with hand-drawn wrapping paper.
I was almost in tears.
The figure now stands proudly at the head of my bed, right beside MasterChief and Vector Prime.
And now Kel has out done himself once again.
So, he's going to PAX 2009. It's a video game convention down in Seattle, and I've always wanted to go, but never had the money, this year included.
Kel tells me he'll get me a souvenir, since the guys from Red vs Blue were going to be there and I love the series.
I expected maybe a photo or a poster with autographs.
But no!
Kel comes up to my front door with not one, but TWO items that make me want to scream with happiness every time I even think about them, let alone look at or hold them.
He gave me a wonderful knit cap in the colors of my most favorite RvB character, Caboose, and a MESSENGER BAG with autographs from the whole RvB/RoosterTeeth crew!
IT'S FREAKING AWESOME!!!
Seriously, this bag is going to be going with me EVERYWHERE from this moment on, college, shopping, you name it.
I'll have to get some waterproofing on it and maybe some of that plastic/resin spray stuff to keep the signatures clear, but still!
I am so happy, I could cry.

The new club put together by myself, and , has finally reached the web.
It's not much yet, just a half-assed journal entry saying 'hi' to the world, but it's a start.
And it'll soon be buffed up, thanks to a pal of mine in my Introduction to Graphic Design class, Connor Reeves.
He's helping design the icons, backgrounds, and even a couple flyers for the club, which will be posted in the club deviations (with his permission and a great amount of gratitude).
There is a possibilty of this club being expanded later on with one of those free web-forum sites, but that's still up for debate.
Just wanted to pass on the good news!
